Please note that the overlays are jpg files and the background is black, If you are a beginner in Photoshop maybe this can cause confusion. The solution is easy, simply change layer blending mode to "screen" and the black disappears,
Adjust opacity to your liking.
Steps:
1- place it on your image,
2- adjust the size,
3- move it to the place you want
4- and change the layer blendig mode to screen. (You can also change the blending mode to screen immediately after placing it on the image, and then resize and move it.)
