Please note that they are jpg files ,and the background is black, If you are a beginner in Photoshop maybe this can cause confusion. The solution is very simple, simply change the mode of fusion of the layer to "screen" and the black disappears,
Some sparkles are colored, you can play with hue/saturation to get different tones or decrease saturation totally to get a white tone.
